Blogger's Note - Mach 3 and I are experimenting with a cross blog debate. So far, it is comprised of Resistance on this blog as well as The Menshivik Rebuttal on Mach 3's blog. We hope that you enjoy this debate as it is of critical global and local importance.

I stumbled upon
the net last night,
when i saw something
that spurred my delight,
Mach 3 had been
the first to engage
with my point on
his awesome, political, mantastic page.
While I said that religious dogma
pigeonholes the left
and will polarise the community
and leave it bereft
of neshama and soul
and general respect,
Mach 3 turned it around
like a discoteque,
and said, paraphrased,
"My grobotious brother,
the people that polarise you,
are, in fact, your other.
You give them power
by declaring they're strong,
they may dominate
but it is you, who are wrong,
for you fail to see
at the end of the day,
that like me and you,
they're quite okay.
They face stereotypes and hatred
more than you, all the time.
Don't hate them for ruling,
it is hardly a crime."

I pondered this point,
while i lay in my bed,
logic in rhyme form
entered my head,
and i concieved of a plan
with which to reply,
put forward my point
and beat my ally.
So here it is
I hope you enjoy
this rebuttal for you,
Mach 3, my boy.

The community, at large,
is a beautiful place,
we do what we want,
there is little disgrace.
Yet deep underlying
we all understand,
that things are just wrong
and far out of hand.
How can one group of Jews
rule over another?
How can they claim to be "father",
not "brother"?
How can they say that
how they live is right?
They may not say i'm wrong
but its not out of sight
to think that soon
they'll push us away,
and tell us we're nothing
with nothing to say.

Fanatical thought
must be averted.
The masses in SA
are becoming perverted
by people who tell them
there is only one style.
I say, hell no dude,
what a smelly pile,
my own way is fine,
my own way is smart,
Judaism is not only a religion
but its culture and art.
Its not about fasting
or being seen at Taboo,
its about understanding each other
no matter what jew are you.
If you're reform or anti-zionist,
you'll be my best mate,
if you're religous or patriotic,
china, thats great,
but its not super cool
to be a fanatic,
to be racist, prejudiced
and non diplomatic,
because you only see
your own single view,
and its not even yours.
They've told it to you!

So this is my reply
to my hombre, mach 3,
I am steadfast in my views,
as all can now see.
Yet, i respect everyone else
and am prepared to engage.
I await a reply
on Mach 3's blog page.
