The third installment of my Movie, Tv & Theatre recommendations emerges from the wilderness. Prepare to be culturally emancipated!1) Taxi Driver - Robert De Niro at his finest, in the tale of a Vietnam Vet turned Taxi Driver dealing with New York, the big apple rotten to its core, and how he, by being a hard core vigilante, liberates himself and others from the madness. This is the mad shit.
2) Grey's Anatomy - I find myself violently addicted to this TV Show. It's ridiculous at times, but the woman are belters and its damn entertaining. So, I guess what i'm saying is that if you don't respect my right to watch this show, there is nothing that you can really do because i'm badly hooked.
3) City of God - This in my opinion, the greatest movie of the last 5 years, an absolute classic. Harsh, Brutal, Fantastical but never unreal, City of God is the benchmark of third world cinema. My favorite part: Steak 'n Fries, the little kid messenger, says to Carrot: Listen man, I smoke, I snort, I've robbed, I've killed... I ain't no kid, no way. I'm a real man.
4) Napoleon Dynamite - It seems to me that people who live outside of America are torn about this movie. Some like it, Some find it boring. I understand this confusion - but I know where i stand: Napoleon Dynamite kicks ass. In the words of Rex Kwon Do - "BOW TO YOUR SENSEI!"
5) The Spiderman movies - These two movies are, in my opinion, the two best marvel comic book movies ever created. I will say this: Spiderman makes X-Men look like Daredevil. 'Nuff Said. Spider Man 3 will be insane, and all will realise the unquestioned brilliance of Sam Raimi and his Spiderman films.
